Global Leadership Forum 2016
Under the aegis of the World Culture Festival – industrialists and global leaders came together to address worldly issues at the Global Leadership Forum.
The Global Leadership Forum explored how leadership strategies can be better adapted to meet the needs of our current globalising and interconnected geopolitical and socio-economic landscape. Some of the prominent speakers included Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Global Humanitarian and Founder, Art of Living, Arun Jaitley, Union Minister of Finance, India, Linda Cathrine Hofstad Helleland, Minister of Culture in Norway, Ryszard Czarnecki, Vice President of The European Parliament, Belgium, Michael S. Perlis, President and CEO of Forbes Media LLC, United States of America.
Manish Tiwari, Managing Director, Here and Now 365 said: “We have in the last decade or so seen crisis in terms of human displacement and escalation of conflicts based on religion and culture; this clearly is a failure of world leadership. The United Nations and other world organisations are challenged to provide human dignity a global currency. We need to bring leadership together like Davos but in a more inclusive manner with truly grass root participation and Global Leadership Forum is one such meaningful attempt”
SBI’s Arundhati Bhattacharya talks about ethics in business
The first woman leader in State Bank of India‘s 208 year history Arundhati Bhattacharya is a formidable lady and an inspiration to many. As part of the Global Leadership Forum, the chairperson of SBI gave an enlightening speech on ethics in business.
Since she has been at the helm of SBI she has encouraged and inculcated the values of ethical business practices which are high on transparency in every aspect of the bank including procurement, supplier management, customer relations and investments. She said: “Whenever any charges of corruption have been raised they have been immediately looked into and dealt with in a swift manner.”
